Modern-day Mt. Lebanon is a community strategically poised to develop meaningful transit oriented development (TOD) over the Port Authority of Allegheny County's Red Line
light rail Uptown Platform. This Platform is located in the community's Central Business District known locally as "Uptown." The Municipality owns the air rights.
The Municipality has been studying the feasibility of developing over the Uptown Platform via a Transit Revitalization Improvement District (TRID) Study completed in 2008 and a preliminary engineering study completed in 2012. Anyone interested in these studies, or working with the Municipality to develop the aforementioned air rights may contact either Eric Milliron at emilliron@mtlebanon.org or Keith McGill at kmgill@mtlebanon.org.
