Painters Run Road
Contractors for Allegheny County will be working on Painters Run Road in Mt. Lebanon, Scott at Upper St. Clair starting at 7 a.m. Monday, March 9 and lasting through October. The work could delay traffic in and around Mt. Lebanon. The project involves three parts:
· Crews will be making structural repairs to Painters Run Bridge No. 9, which is located on the 1800 block of Painters Run Road in Scott Township. That work will begin at 7 a.m. on March 9 and won’t initially require traffic restrictions. Starting in July, however, there will be a full closure of the road at the bridge.
· Crews will be making structural repairs to Painters Run Bridge No. 3, which is located about 350 feet east of the intersection of Painters Run Road and McMillan Road in Upper St. Clair. That work will begin after the repairs to Painters Run Bridge No. 9 are completed and will likely require traffic restrictions.
· Crews will be performing guide rail installation, drainage work, base repair, as well as milling and paving on Painters Run Road between Bower Hill Road and Cedar Boulevard in Mt. Lebanon, Scott Township and Upper St. Clair. That work will begin in April and will require short stoppages in work zones with flaggers controlling traffic.
Scrubgrass Road (Scott)
Contractors will work on the gas line on Scrubgrass Road in Scott Township. Single-lane alternating traffic will be between Old Scrubgrass Road and Swallow Hill Road weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. through late March. Even though the project isn’t in Mt. Lebanon, it could potentially cause delays for drivers in the area.
Jonquil Place and Sunset Drive
Columbia Gas is replacing more than 3,900 feet of underground pipe along portions of Jonquil Place and Sunset Drive. Drivers can expect lane restrictions during working hours from Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Work is expected to begin at the end of March and last through early Fall, weather permitting.
