Overview
The Planning Office is responsible for formulating strategies and policies that meet the social, economic and physical needs of the community. Within the context of the Municipal Code, Strategic Plan and Comprehensive Land Use Plan, the office assists developers and property owners with issues related to land development, zoning and related matters. The planning office oversees all Geographic Information System (GIS) mapping. 

Board Administration

The planner works closely with the Inspection, Economic Development and Commercial District offices and administers the 5-member, volunteer Planning Board, which reviews plans for development.
