Customer Service Center Volunteer

We are looking for volunteers to staff afternoon shifts at the customer service center during times when municipal staff is not available to do so. The customer service center is located in the entry lobby of the municipal building at 710 Washington Road and is the first stop for residents seeking information on a broad range of topics. Duties include greeting residents and providing information and directions as needed, accepting deliveries, taking permit applications and payment for approved permits, mail sorting and processing, and occasional clerical tasks such as labeling and stuffing envelopes. Training will be provided as necessary.

The ideal volunteers will have pleasant demeanors and a strong desire to be of help to fellow residents on behalf of the municipality. Shifts are either 1 – 3 p.m. or 3 – 5 p.m., are scheduled on a calendar month basis, and can vary from month to month as required.
