If you’re part of a low-income household and you need help paying your sewage treatment bill, you now may have access to some assistance. The Allegheny County Sanitary Authority, which handles Mt. Lebanon’s sewage, has created the Clean Water Assistance Fund. Eligible households can get a $30 credit every three months on their bill.
To see if you’re eligible, see the income calculator and requirements at www.dollarenergy.org, as Dollar Energy Fund is administering the program. If you think you’re eligible, call South Hills Interfaith Movement at 412-854-9120 or the Salvation Army in Carnegie at 412-276-4757 to schedule an appointment to apply.
