From June 16, 2008 through July 2, 2008, Mt Lebanon Police have logged 31 individual complaints regarding solicitors from APX Alarm Company. The complaints allege heavy handed sales tactics, solicitors on property clearly posted no soliciting, Solicitors failing/refusing to show ID and/or permits upon request, allegations that the resident lived in a high crime area, solicitors asking unorthodox questions about security systems and personal questions, telling residents that teenagers are cutting alarm lines in the neighborhood, solicitor being rude, solicitors alleging all other residents on the street have purchased the product, etc.. Based on these complaints MLPD has revoked the permits from this company effective July 3, 2008 If any resident is contacted by this group after July 3, 2008 please contact Mt Lebanon Police at 412 531-5300.

Stop by to meeting the staff liaisons and current members of boards such as Planning, Traffic, Historic Preservation, Community Relations, Library and others. Get an overview of the skills and time commitment required for various boards. As questions and take home an application form. The event is sponsored by the Mt.
