From June 16, 2008 through July 2, 2008, Mt Lebanon Police have logged 31 individual complaints regarding solicitors from APX Alarm Company.

The complaints allege heavy handed sales tactics, solicitors on property clearly posted no soliciting, Solicitors failing/refusing to show ID and/or permits upon request, allegations that the resident lived in a high crime area, solicitors asking unorthodox questions about security systems and personal questions, telling residents that teenagers are cutting alarm lines in the neighborhood, solicitor being rude, solicitors alleging all other residents on the street have purchased the product, etc..

Based on these complaints MLPD has revoked the permits from this company effective July 3, 2008
