Father / Son Campout

August 4, 2021: Effective Friday, August 6, Mt. Lebanon will follow CDC guidance by requiring masks for everyone inside all municipal facilities. Masks are not required for anyone outdoors. Social distancing and frequent handwashing are encouraged. In general, protect yourself and others. Don’t attend programs if you feel sick or are otherwise at risk. These guidelines are subject to change.

Boys in Kindergarten through 5th grade with an adult male family companion

Bird Park off Cedar Boulevard


Boys in grades K through 5 are invited to share a unique outdoor adventure with their adult male family companion. Activities include a cookout, nature hike, fun & games, sing-along and stories around the campfire. Continental breakfast is provided Sunday morning. Those who would like to spend the night should arrange to bring a tent or share one with a friend.

Saturday Schedule

  • 4:15 p.m. to 5:15 p.m. - Check in and set up of tents at the soccer field
  • 5:15 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. - Dinner and announcements at the pavilion
  • 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. - Nature Hike
  • 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. - Games and activities
  • 7:30 p.m. to 10:45 p.m. - Campfire activities followed by movie

Sunday Schedule

  • 7:45 a.m. - Wake Up call
  • 8:00 a.m. - Breakfast
  • 8:30 a.m. - Clean up and farewells


You should bring a tent, adequate sleeping bags / blankets, pillow, hiking boots or old shoes, extra warm clothing, water bottle, a flashlight and a back pack to help transport your gear from the parking lot to the soccer field.
