Glass Recycling

Drop-off recycling program

Glass is no longer part of our curbside recycling program but residents have several options for recycling glass.

Mt. Lebanon Municipality and the Pennsylvania Resources Council present FREE pop up glass recycling events on selected Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. For this program, you do not need to separate glass by colors.

Mt. Lebanon residents are able to participate in the free glass recycling pilot program at Michael Brothers Recycling, 901 Horning Road, Baldwin, on Wednesdays from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturdays, from 7 to 11 a.m.

For the Michael Bros.’ program, you must separate your glass into three colors: clear, brown/amber and green. You can drop them off in the marked bins in the indoor drive-thru area at Michael Brothers.

You may also take unbroken beer bottles (no other kinds of glass) to Bridge City Beverage, 1608 Cochran Road in Scott Township, Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. You do not need to separate those bottles.
